This is a speculative project for The Nature‘s article “The scars of war last for centuries: how we understand collective trauma needs to change”. In the final illustration there is a locket — something inherited, like trauma. Inside are fading silhouettes, representing people‘s memories passed down through generations. The cracks in the glass reflect how these inherited experiences effect us. Colors symbolize deep emotional layers and the possibility of growth through pain. This project was created via The AOI mentorship Scheme 2025 mentored by conceptual Illustrator Ollie Hirst.
