Open House Vilnius 2026 - Poster Competition
Goal
Create a city-wide poster that communicates architecture as a lived, sensory experience rather than a collection of iconic buildings, while remaining legible and striking in public space.
Concept
The poster translates the city’s rhythm into a quiet visual language. Inspired by subtle urban sounds - distant footsteps and echoes. Architectural repetition, shadow and negative space are used to suggest sound through form.
Challenges
Conveying sound through visual structure without literal illustration;
Balancing conceptual depth with clear event communication;
Maintaining minimalism while preserving spatial tension;
Ensuring strong visibility and contrast in large-format use.
Additional Concepts:
A brighter composition testing openness and accessibility;
A stronger presence of the human figure to explore scale and movement.
